If you are trying to judge the quality of a cosmetic dentist’s work, it’s important to compare images of “before and after” photos that are paired up just right.

Some dentists will have “before” photos where the patient is hardly smiling or doesn’t have much make-up; and then you see the “after” photo that looks like a glamor shot that was touched up by a professional photographer. With or without treatment, a person is bound to look better where the photos are touched up or altered. Other dentists may even showcase poorly matched photos, where the lighting is off or the angles are different.

Dentists aren’t trained photographers, but it makes a huge difference to look at clear and detailed photos, with the same expressions and the same facial angles so that you can make the right comparison.
